It is easy to lie, and you will be successful the first few times. Once discovered you will never be trusted in whole again.

Statements that cannot be substantiated may as well be lies, as if they are not credible on their own, they might well be fabricated.

Discount chains are in the news. The public is screwed again. Walmart, target and some others are not really discount chains. A discounted merchandised item is one that "sells" normally for lets say $100 and is deep discounted at $60. But if the item "never" sold at $100, is the discounted price real or contrived. A manufacturers list price on an item is most time an overinflated price that no-one sells at.

The safety lie

Thought about our terror problems:We are vulnerable, extremely so. A single gunman walked into a police station with a handgun. This caused evacuation, confusion and action of at least 100 people, the press, traffic and money. Thats just one idiot with a personal problem and no agenda. Now, take an extremist or soeone with a plan and a purpose and a death wish. Multiply that times 100, in 100 cities, acting all at once.Add, one plane, one subway, a few selective accidents blocking highways with a tractor, or trailer, or farm truck. Complicate that with a blackout because of a hacked computer or something as stupid as a blown tower known as a main thoroughfare in the grid. There are tv shows exploiting our vulnerabilities, Threat Matrix, Navy CSI, movies that foretll of terrorist dirty bombs.

Some people may say that films are make believe and no one in their right mind would do what is conceived in the film.
The key word is "right mind". What the mind can conceive someone will believe!

Sales & selling ch #6

I find items for merchants to sell. So, if a flea marketer needs a hat, I find him a supplier for the hat. Last week, (Aug. 22, 03) one flea seller needed a feathered fan. I knew I had several suppliers in my lead book, and if not, I would surf the net and get her a deal. She was paying $6 for the fan, so I found several sources that could deliver. She was happy, but, I didn't want to be a middle man. I would be making a percentage on each fan I sold to her so I decided to sell her the "lead", In other words, instead of my buying the fan for $4 and selling it to her for $6, I would charge her $25, give her the source and she could then buy the fan for $4 herself. Her comment was "she never pays for leads". So, she would rather give me $2 profit on each fan (she was going to buy a dozen at a time), than give me $25 and never have to pay the percentage to me. In truth, she pays for leads everytime she buys from any salesman. Its already in the commissions. The right lead is worth thousands.

The Liars are everywhere

Liars and magicians. One and the same. We deceive, conjure with story lines, tell the fibs, & convince you that what you see is really happenning. We tell you that a coin is placed here when it is more than likely there. We condition while we entertain, train your observations, and manipulate your mind with suggestions.
